Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, all you lovely people! I hope you are having a marvellous weekend.

I've been really busy this week making bunnies and eggs and haven't had much time to work on anything else, although I did manage to at least start my tabby cat pattern. I would have loved to take some nice photos, but as usual, left things very late, so I was actually running to the post office before closing time to get them shipped out on time. Sigh, my plan to get better organized this year hasn't worked out that well.

But here's one bunny I made for a friend that is still sitting on my desk corner.

Usually I prefer using finer yarns to crochet toys, but when browsing the aisles of my local yarn store, I was instantly drawn to a super chunky wool and acrylic blend Lanagold Plus from Alize in beautiful colors - this dark brownish gray with lighter specks, beautiful deep mustard yellow, gorgeous grayish beige - and came home with more than a couple of skeins.

So I thought I would give my small bunny pattern a go and it turned out great. And crocheting with such a bulky yarn and a 4 mm hook (US size G) was actually really nice, although I could have probably used a 5 mm hook (US size H), I just couldn't find it (I haven't used it once since I bought it). I also used 12 mm (1/2") safety eyes instead of 9 mm ones I suggest in the pattern. My bunny turned out about 25 cm (10") tall from head to toe, 32 cm (12 1/2") including ears.

What is your favorite kind of yarn? And have you tried stepping out of your comfort zone to try a lot finer or bulkier yarns?

Sweet bunny. She is a look-a-like of a chocolat bunny. Great as a present.

Happy Easter, Margaret

Hello Kristie,
Some time ago I bought your lovely lamb pattern on Etsy and now I have already made three of them, love them!
I placed photo’s of them on my blog today and linked to your Etsy site:
It is in Dutch but there is a translation tool on my blog.
Here on you blog I see the most cute free patterns and I thank you for them.

Hi Corrie,

Thank you so much for sharing, I love seeing my patterns come to life. And I love the idea of adding some blue paper and clouds to the box.

Greetings from Estonia,
