Sitting baby Dragon

I felt the sitting baby dragon pattern I wrote back in 2012 could use a little makeover. So I gave him rounder cheeks, chubbier tummy and large ears. If you want to make your own little dragon baby, pick up a copy of the pattern on Etsy, Ravelry or Craftsy.

Free Pattern - Baby Dragon Rattle

This dragon rattle is one of the very first amigurumi toys I ever made. Inspired by a small dragon made by Laura. I made my version a bit larger, added another row of spikes and a rattle inside the body. Over the last two years I have made about a hundred of them.

They are not difficult to crochet, but do take quite a bit of time to assemble. But after a hundred dragons, I have gotten pretty good at it.

About 11 cm (4 1/3") with fingering weight cotton yarn and a 1,75 mm crochet hook.

2. Beginner - suitable for novice crocheters, may require a bit of customization, requires patience and precision when assembling the dragon.

Skills required

To make your own, you should know how to crochet single cochet stitches (double crochet in the UK), start a piece with an adjustable loop, increase, decrease, finish pieces, join pieces and hide yarn tails.

Pattern is available as a pdf file, which you can download from HERE. If you are having trouble viewing it in your browser, you can also download it on Ravelry.
